Jamberry Faux Fox

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I am so excited to be taking a break from school and just spending some quality time with my family, boyfriend, and dogs.  I havn't been home in over a month so I really really needed this break.  Unfortunately its right back to it come Monday.  I'll be so busy I'll barely have time to think about my birthday coming up...

Anyway for my Thanksgiving manicure I decided to use Faux Fox.  Obviously I needed these as soon as I saw them.  They are crazy cute and just eeeeehhh!!! I love them! Plus they match the new 31 wallet I recently bought.  So much win.

This design is really adorable, and I'm sad that it is only for the season.  If you like this pattern make sure to grab these foxes before January 1st!

That feeling when your nails match your bag.  <3

Jamberry Berry Sparkler

So I may or may not be able to go to the Ren Faire because of all this rain but if I do....these will be my fairy nails!  I ordered these on a whim with my hostess rewards and actually ended up liking them way more than I thought!

Normally I take all nail pictures in natural light but I added my flash for these because it really brought out the sparkles and made them look more true to life than regular lighting did.
Berry Sparkler is a super cute glitter finished wrap that starts pink and fades to a sparkly silver.  These are just so adorable and I've already received compliments on them.  They feel so magical, playful, and elegant all at the same time!  I'm really glad I stepped outside my comfort zone and got these wraps!

Diamond Candle Peachy Mango

I have been seeing this brand advertised on Facebook quite often and finally saw a pretty sweet coupon offer and decided to try it out!  I figure if the ring sucks at least I have a candle and if the candle sucks at least I have a ring! Here is my experience with this company.

I actually bought two candles, one in Peachy Mango and the other in Red Velvet Cake but I'm waiting to burn the later in the fall, and also left it at my parents house so I did not currently have it to take pictures of. I love everything peach mango so I figured I couldn't go wrong with this candle! I love that every candle has its own unique artwork on it, and as you can see I've already put quite a few hours into burning it.  It smells delightful, exactly as I expected and creates a nice aroma in the immediate area.  If its in my kitchen burning, I cannot smell it from the living room however, which for a $25 candle, I kind of expected that. I'm going to come out and say it, I don't think these are worth $25 each but if you can get any sort of coupon code, I would recommend giving them a try! My coupon gave me $15 off with free shipping and overall I think my experience was worth it for that price.

So the way this works is each candle costs $25, and contains a $10 ring in what they say are "common sizes".  Being of an average body type I figured I'd be fine, but if your ring size is either abnormally larger or smaller than average you may not want to take this risk.  Within each candle a code is also included for a chance to win a ring worth $100-$5000, my code was a dud, obviously, I'm not that lucky. :P
But if you do win you can pick the size and style of your prize.

So here is the ring I got.  I seriously lucked out BIG time.  I'm really picky about colors.  I hate gold, orange, yellow, olive, brown.....basically I was really nervous I'd get a gold ring with an orange gem or something and be totally disappointed.  I ABOUT DROPPED THE RING WHEN I FISHED IT OUT OF THE CANDLE. It's silver, which is the only metal I wear, the gem is red which is one of my absolute favorite colors of gem stone besides purple, the design is elegant and not bulky, and it FITS! Kind of. It is a tad too big for my ring finger but too small for all my others.  I'd say its probably a size 7 because generally I wear an 8 on my middle and pointer and a 7 on my ring finger.

Even though it isn't a perfect fit I think for $10 this ring is totally amazing. It is the right color and style for my personality and even if its a bit big I can still wear it no problem.  I'm very excited to see what kind of ring I got in my Red Velvet candle now! But I'm trying to make myself wait for this one to be used up before I change over.

Overall, this is a really cute and fun idea. If you have a candle loving woman in your life this would make a perfect gift. I'm not sure I'd buy more than these two because I don't really have a use for that many rings but I definitely would not be sad if I received one as a present!

Spring Watercolor Nails

This weeks manicure is a mix of polish and Jamberry! I think Jams are going to become a staple in my polish looks.  My experience with them has been great and I can see using them all the time. For this nail look I will be reviewing a Jam sample, a nail polish I got in an Ipsy bag, and a nail polish I got for free.

My Jams from last week could have lasted a few more days but I was really itching to change things up so I took them off. I had a watercolor flower patterned Jam I really wanted to try out so I paired it with a hot pink and mint colored polish.
The Jam is Faded Bouquet and while I think its a cool design I'm not sure I'd buy it.  I was a bit sad that with the sample I got the pink flower was in the middle of the strip, meaning it didn't make it onto my nail. that was supposed to help tie in the hot pink a bit.  The nail on my other hand doesn't have any pink showing at all. Oh well.  At least I don't have to worry about it chipping for the next week or so.
The pink polish I got in my April Ipsy glam bag and it was my absolute favorite product that month! I really like this nail polish.  I almost didn't even need two coats it goes on so opaque.  The formula is also not too thick and not too thin. Its a really nice polish overall.  Its by Julie G, a branch of Jesse's Girl cosmetics, and the color is Damsel.
The mint color is by Wet n Wild from their Spoiled collection.  The color is Mar-zi-panna. My opinion of this one is the opposite, I really don't like it.  The formula is thick and more gel like which I hate in a nail polish.  It was difficult to apply neatly as the brush is huge.  It also took forever to dry....the pink was good so I started doing things and ended up botching up my pinky because even though the pink was dry...the mint wasn't :/

They definitely make a statement but in a cute and spring themed way!

Overall, I think this mani is adorable and perfect for spring!

Matte Black Nail with White Dot Design

I received a Sephora nail art kit for Christmas and have been trying to experiment with all the different tools. Today I decided to use the white polish that comes with a pen fixture, perfect for drawing or dotting!

To get this look I applied Zoya's Noot (I use this so much I might actually run out!) and then put a matte top coat over it.  I use Sally Hansen's Big Matte top coat. I then took the little Sephora dotting pen and dotted away! It was so easy and the result is so cute! I love the minimalism.
I can't believe those weird bulgy dot things on my nails! Even when I examine my nails close up I can barely make out the raised bumps....my camera plus the lighting must have seriously brought them out. So sorry for their unsightliness.  My nails look flawless in real life I promsie! Haha.

Valentine's Day Nails

Ok yeah I know Valentine's Day was a while ago but with my camera dying I kind of have a backlog of posts. Oops! So even though its past here are my nails that I did for Valentine's Day!

For the base I used Formula X in Voodoo which is a absolutely gorgeous light metallic pink.  Then I took Demi by Zoya which is a dark berry shade and tipped each of my nails except for my ring finger where I instead drew a cute little heart.  I couldn't take this picture until a few days after Valentine's Day so I had to do a bit of touching up, that's why they look a little less than perfect.  Regardless I love my nails and I love these two polishes. Combined they make the perfect cute girly nail design.

Zoya Nail Design Using Belinda and Lux

Now that its fall I can once again start wearing all the dark wintery Zoya nail polishes I got last year for Christmas! This week I used Zoya's Belinda and Lux to do a super cute dark purple with a silver sparkle accent.

This was one of my first times using tape to try and create a nail design.  The last time I tried the results were horrible and the polish got under the tape and it was worthless. I don't know if I have better tape now or if the chunky sparkles work better for this kind of thing but it worked perfectly this time!
I think for Christmas Lux will look perfect in this same design over a nice sparkly red. :)
