Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Tint in Moody

I received the Sephora Give Me More Lip set for Christmas so I will be slowly swatching and reviewing the contents!  So far I'm pleased with it however there are definitely some shades and formulas that I am not a fan of.  This is one of them.

While I could see this easily appealing to a lot of people the formula just isn't my style.  Its slightly see through instead of opaque and shiny instead of matte.  I just don't feel like myself when I put it on.  It didn't seem drying but it also didn't have the greatest of staying power, which it definitely should for the price.  The color itself is ok but for some reason I just wasn't feeling it.  I don't see myself reaching for this one often.  I actually have yet to try anything by Tarte that I love....

Urban Decay Pressed Pigment in Fringe from the Electric Palette on my Lips

I had so much fun with putting Urban on my lips I just had to try with one of my favorite colors from the palette, Fringe!

I also put a tad bit in my hair for extra awesome.  My friend told me I look like an electric mermaid....I am totally ok with this.  On my cheeks I applied Jilted as lightly as possible.  

I love this palette.

Urban Decay Pressed Pigment in Urban from the Electric Palette on my Lips

I was talking to an Ulta employee and was told that the Electric Palette isn't only for the eyes but can also be used as a hair chalk and a lipstick. What. I hope this is true because I'm really excited and coincidentally have already smeared it on my lips.

I love it! I put down a neutral lip liner and then patted Urban on over top.  The color turns out a bit darker on the lips than it does in the pan or when on the skin.  I am ok with this though because holy crap does Urban make an amazing dark purple! I hope to swatch all the colors in the palette on my lips for you...eventually.  

PSA: It also works as a hair chalk, I've used Urban to put a streak in my bangs quite a few times.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Swatches in Zurich, Antwerp, San Paulo, and Prague

I'm going to start by saying I FREAKING LOVE NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAMS. So anyway I've owned Antwerp and San Paulo for quite some time and recently picked up Zurich and Prague while NYX was 40% off at Ulta.  

I apologize for the weirdness of the swatches in this picture....uploading them to blogger seemed to up the contrast or something, they do not look like this in Photoshop....Anyway, why do I love NYX matte lip creams? Well its because they're matte first of all and I love me some matte! Also I feel like they last a decent time for their price.  I usually get 6 hours of wear if I do not eat or drink much and 4 hours if I do.

First up is Zurich! I've been wearing this one to work fairly frequently since I bought it.  It is a very nice natural pinky nude that is thankfully flattering on me!

Next is Antwerp.  This is a light corally pink.  I tend to wear this when I wear dark blue because it just looks awesome.  Otherwise I tend to have a hard time pulling this color off.

San Paulo is a lip color I reach for a lot.  Its a deep reddish pink that goes with almost anything.  A super easy bold lip for any occasion!

Prague is a deep fuchsia and I have been wearing this every chance I get since picking it up. Its such a beautiful color and I think it works very well with my cool skin tone.
