League of Legends Lux Character Makeup

So I've been wanting to do a series of these because some of the ladies of the league have banging makeup. Lux is one of my favorite champs, even though I suck at the game I still enjoy playing bots with my gold ranked boyfriend. I hope you enjoy my attempt at Lux's thick winged eyeliner!

I can't remember exactly what I used as I did this a while ago but I will try my best.  For the wing I used Mary Kay's Black Pearl, on my lid and crease is Mary Kay's Espresso, my eyebrows are filled with Mary Kay's Hazelnut, and the gold highlight is Urban Decay's Blunt

Green Eye Makeup Collection

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Because of the holiday I've decided to share swatches of all my green eye makeup. Spoiler alert...there aren't many.  Green is my second favorite color but for whatever reason I rarely incorporate it into my makeup routine.  After swatching all these I'm starting to feel bad for my lonely greens.  I've decided to make an effort to wear them more often!

Brazen Glimmerflage

First up is a Brazen cosmetics eye shadow I got in a Beauty Army box. I unfortunately have not used it yet so I can't really comment on the quality.  I've been having trouble finding something to wear a camo colored green with.  Its a deep green with gold sparkle. Suggestions are welcome!

This is Maybelline's Color Tattoo cream eye shadow in Emerald.  It is a really pretty color and goes on very nicely.  I really need to wear this more.

I have 12 Shiro eye shadows in total and this is among the ones I haven't used very much.  They come loose but I pressed them myself and I would definitely buy from her again.  I picked up a few colors from all of my favorite video game collections.  Rupee is from the Legendary collection based off of the Legend of Zelda.  I plan to do swatches of all the ones I have.

This is the green from NYX's Love In Rio Carnival Del Sol palette.  As you can see its in kind of bad shape as I depotted it and it didn't really go well.  Also this is one of the few times that NYX is a miss for me, the pigmentation just isn't that great.

This is Ulta's Glamazon eye shadow that I got on sale the first time I went to an Ulta store (I live nowhere near any sort of makeup store so I do all my shopping online).  As you can see it is a super dark greenish blue.  I have never worn it as an eye shadow but I use it wet as an eyeliner every now and then and it looks very nice.

This is Graffiti from Urban Decay's Deluxe palette.  I bought it from Ulta on sale.  As with any Urban Decay eye shadow it has great pigmentation and goes on smooth.

This is Vert from Urban Decay's Skull Shadow Box palette.  My mom bought me this palette in early high school when I wore a single color of bright eye shadow all over my lid so this green has gotten a lot of use.  I actually used to just call it "dragon scale green" because..well, it reminded me of dragon scales! Very pretty.

This is Maybelline's limited edition green mascara in Green with Envy.  It is not super intense on my dark brown lashes but it adds a hint of color so I do use this every now and again.

Here is Urban Decay's 24/7 eye liner pencil in Mildew.  My mom got me a mini pack of these in all sorts of shades back in high school.  Unfortunately this pencil has not gotten a lot of use either. :(
.
And that's my green eye makeup collection.  My St. Paddy's day resolution will be to wear more green on my eyes!

In the mean time here is a simple look I did with a few of the products. Rupee is on the lid and Glamazon is in the crease. I also used the Maybelline mascara and the Urban Decay liner.

Colorful Drag Show Makeup Featuring BH Cosmetics

I went to my very first drag show two nights ago and I had an absolute blast!!!  Highlights included a lesbian shaking her fake erection in my face and an absolutely stunning drag queen (she was rocking a seriously stellar thick black winged liner with red lips) telling my friend and I that we were the two most adorable people in attendance.  Great night, 10/10 would do again.
Anyway of course I used that night as an excuse to rock some crazy makeup! Here is my drag show look thanks to BH Cosmetics.

Here is an overall view of the look and the eye shadows used to achieve it.
Navy: BHCM18
Purple: BHCM16
Blue: BHCM13
Pink: BHWM08

I used purple on the lid, pink in the crease, navy on the outer corner, and blue on the inner.

Natural lighting is hard to come by at school because the window is in a super awkward location but I suffered just for you in order to take this picture. You bet I wore this all day.  My daytime lips were Revlon's Balm Stain in Honey.

And right before I left I threw on some Illamasqua ESP because I can't wear purple lipstick to my internship.  As much as I love the color of this lipstick the formula is annoying.  Kind of frustrating how my most expensive lipstick also has the crappiest formula.  It goes on patchy and after an hour or two it starts to get light purple around the outside of my lips and a dark almost blue towards the inside. Oh well, the color is awesome.

Zoya Nail Polish Design Using Mosheen and Timo

I had a heck of a time trying to get a decent picture of this nail look. GAH it just refused to cooperate.  Basically I did Timo as a base and then put Mosheen only on the top half to get a gradient sparkly type look.  It is pretty and subtle and very easy to do.

Where to buy: Zoya.com
Price: $9

League of Legends Comic

I made this comic back when my boyfriend and I first started dating.  He played Draven a lot and I enjoyed playing Ahri.  This comic ensued.

Custom Color Coordination Card

So my April 2014 issue of Instyle came in the mail and towards the end a certain section on color caught my eye.  Each page had an assortment of clothing pertaining to a specific color and then in the bottom corner was this little box that listed possible color pairings.  Well wasting no time I bookmarked the pages, ran upstairs, and cut out the color boxes that I wear most often.

I then gook Mod Podge and glued them to the lid of a pink cardboard Beauty Army box.

As you can see they fit nicely on the lid and the cardboard is fairly sturdy.

Obligatory artsy shot

And then I pinned it to the bulletin board right next to my vanity.  I plan on using this to help me mix and match outfits, accessories, and makeup.  I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and excited to try out some interesting looks like purple and mint.

In case you have trouble seeing the print
Pair red with lime, salmon, chocolate, or fuchsia
Pair pink with grey, cobalt, red, or black
Pair green with navy, eggplant, spruce, or black
Pair blue with forest green, mint, white, or scarlet
Pair navy with white, lilac, yellow or kelly green
Pair purple with navy, cherry, lilac, or mint

Hope this helps inspire your next look! :D

Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow in Metallic Violet

Today I wanted to share with you all the awesomeness that is Stila's foil eye shadow. I have metallic violet and oh my wow is it amazing.

It comes with a liquid primer and a tray to mix the shadow and primer together.  I've found that adding the absolutely smallest amount of primer possible is best.  Any more than a drop per scoop makes it too sheer and you won't get the foil like effect.

All you do is kinda stick a finger in there and scoop a little bit out, mix it with the primer, and then dab it on with your finger.

It can be worn by itself but I like putting it over my eye shadows. Here is a picture of my make up before and then after I added the foil.

It is so freaking pretty in person, I could simply not capture its sparkly glory on camera. :(

And finally me making a stupid face.  While I think this eye shadow is neat I don't think I would get another one.  They are quite expensive the only reason I have this one is because I received it as a gift. If you've got the money I'd definitely recommend picking one or two up.  On my lips I'm wearing Mary Kay At Play Jelly Lip Gloss in Crushed Plum.

Where to buy: Sephora, Ulta, or Stila's website
Price: $32

Reverse Eyeliner

This is a look I tried after watching a MAC makeup artist do a reverse eyeliner on Karen from Makeup and Beauty Blog. Check out her blog post here! It was a lot of fun but I'm not sure I'd do it again.  I feel that the super sparkly eye liner makes my already not so huge eyes look ever smaller.  A few of my guy friends also made fun of it today, but I won't get into that because this blog is about happy things.

Because of my eye shape when they are open all you can see is the intense eye liner and none of the pretty matte cranberry. :(
On my lips I am wearing Mary Kay Icy Peach with Mary Kay lip gloss in Pink Luster over top.

On my eyes I have NYX matte eye shadow in Skinny Dip on the lid and NYX matte eye shadow in Haywire in my crease.  The eye liner is Bare Minerals Round the Clock eyeliner in 5am.  Its a pretty silvery gold but its so hard to put it on without getting it all over your eyelashes...as you can see.  Maybe I'll try applying it with a brush next time. Mascara is Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara.

Hope you liked my attempt at reverse eyeliner, now you go give it a try!
